Time Tables

Hello friends,

It's been ages since my last post.
 Next week I will start teaching my kids the time tables. Some of them already know and have a very good grasp of multiplication, but I intend to do it more fun.
I found some great songs in Spanish  to play during transitions and hopefully the kids will love them and we will all sing the multiplication songs.

Hello friends,

I have been busy busy busy and haven't had the time to blog. Being new to a grade level is not easy, I have lots of things to learn.
I have completed 4 weeks in 3rd grade and I do love my students! They are sweet, nice and excited about everything!
I was nervous because it is the first time I teach 8-9 year old kids, but I am loving it.

It has been raining a lot in the city, so outdoor recess is not an option, we have been doing GoNoodle, it is GREAT! All my students love it.

If you are in need of a brain break, indoor recess activities or just for fun try GoNoodle, I am sure you will love it, too.

I am so exhausted today!! I haven't been the "new teacher" in almost eight years and New Teacher Orientation is killing me!!

Please do not forget about yourselves during these first weeks of school. Teachers tend to be very perfectionist and work at home after school, but we need to rest or we'll burn out and end up not liking our career.
There are many things we can do for avoiding teacher burnout, I will list some of them:

1. Meditate
2. Eat slowly and enjoy our food.
3. Laugh with your students
4. Take a long bath and spoil yourself
5. Spend quality time with your family (or pet)
6. Read for pleasure (not school related)

The school and our students will be there tomorrow, they don't need pretty things or walls covered with anchorcharts, they need a well rested teacher who cares for them. You don't have to finish everything today, take a rest and enjoy your school year!
